FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If your question is not answered here then click on 'contact us' at the top of this page and complete a web enquiry form
  • Do I need to bring anything with me for Glamping Experience

The units are fully self-contained but you will need to bring your own pillows, duvet and towels.

  • Does the campsite allow children?

We are an Adults only site. No one under 18 is allowed to visit or stay on the campsite

  • Can I bring a 2nd vehicle during our campsite stay?

In order to prevent overcrowding we only allow one vehicle plus your living unit per pitch. Additional vehicles are accomodated at a charge of £5 per night and will be sited in the main car park area.

  • Are pets allowed in the glamping units?

Unfortunately we do not allow pets in our glamping units. We are generally pet friendly but due to the allergies derived from our pets we cannot accommodate them.

  • Can I erect a Gazebo?

Yes, the two requirements are that the size ensures it fits within the perimeter of your pitch with everything you have brought and that you use strong and reliable fixings to secure this type of accessory. If not you will be liable for any damage caused to other guests units.* If it is felt that either of these requirements are not met then you will be asked to remove the gazebo.

  • Can I pre-allocate a disabled pitch?

Yes we reserve both caravan/motorhome and camping pitches for blue badge holders but these pitches are limited and must be booked in advance.

  • What refuse am I allowed to leave in the disposal units?

We only accept domestic waste. We have no license to collect anything other than normal day to day waste so please don't leave dis-used items that we aren't able to dispose of.

  • Can I bring a Barbeque or my own firepit?

Yes, Firepits are allowed but you will need to obtain fire wood from us. Our shop stocks eco logs for you to purchase on your arrival. This policy is to prevent the use of acrid materials and to ensure the fuel is eco-treated. Please remember we are sited on open farmland so fuel that produces more smoke than heat will drift over the entire site. Barbeques are also allowed as long as they are kept off of the ground and on a stand. We can provide slabs to site your barbeque stand if required.

  • Have you got Wi-Fi?

We provide our own public Wi-Fi access, free of charge, which is available whilst residing in our Cafe / Restaurant and open air tent.

We also have free campsite-wide Wi-Fi managed by Camping Connect.

We have our own mobile communications mast on site so if you have a data package associated with your mobile then signal is excellent.

  • What is your cancellation / refund policy?

If you need to cancel your booking we will provide a full refund or offer to transfer your stay to other dates within the season as long as you notify upto 14 days prior to your arrival date. No refund or transfer will be offered if you cancel within 14 days of your visit.

  • Can I pre-allocate my pitch?

We have always operated on a first come, first pitch basis so we don't pre-allocate or hold pitches open for our visitors unless there are specific health reasons.

  • Can I stay longer than the departure time?

In relation to caravans, motorhomes and tents, you may be able to park your living unit in our short stay tourer area. It may be if arrivals permit you could also stay longer on your pitch. Speak to one of our wardens.

Unfortunately it is not possible to extend departure times in our huts or pods.

  • Can I invite family and friends on to site whilst staying?

We do allow visitors to our guests as long as we have advanced warning or they report to the site office to be checked in prior to walking on to the campsite. There should be no more than two visitors per pitch (without prior agreement) and all visitors must leave site before 10:00pm.

*Please remember we are adults only so no under 18's are allowed to stay or visit the campsite*

  • Can I fly my flag?

Unfortunately due to our bird population and the fact that guests specifically choose our campsite to observe them, we don't allow flags to be flown.

  • Why do you have a speed limit and the one way system?

We have a duty of care and protection for all our guests so it is important you comply with the one-way road system and speed limit.

  • Why do I need to keep my pet on a lead, they are harmless?

Domesticated animal attacks on farm stock has dramatically increased over the last 3 years and attacks on fellow guests pets has also been a disturbing trend, Any pet is capable of inexplicably attacking another animal so there is a strict 'on lead' policy around the campsite. You will be fully liable for any financial costs related to your pet attacking another or our livestock.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any breed of  Rottweiler, Mastiff or Tosa.

  • What is your policy on noise and loud music?

We are a Tranquil site, the clue is in the name. We like people to enjoy themselves but see no need to play music excessively loud or carry on with group gatherings to the upset of others beyond a reasaonable time in an evening. Please enjoy yourself whilst visiting us but be respectful of your neighbours.

  • What's your TV signal like?

The site is situated on open farm land so there are no obstructions which would affect your TV signal. Freeview and Satellite devices pick up the full raft of channels on offer.
